2016 appears to have once again been the golden year for HBO has they lead the pack with 14 nominations for the 74th Golden Globes.

HBO’s TV nominations far surpassed those of Netflix and Amazon, each snagging five noms.

In the movie categories, it was the just opened “La La Land,” grabbing five nominations including Best Actress and Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy/Musical for Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, followed closely by “Manchester by the Sea” with four noms.

We have be honest, we were thrilled to see the Ryan Reynolds got the Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy/Musical nod for his hilarious performance as Ryan Reynolds, “Deadpool.”

Of course we had a good feeling the much praised Netflix sci-fi drama “Stranger Things” would be on the list Best TV Series, Drama, but we were pleasantly surprised was hearing that the new Netflix series “The Crown” was also in the running.

Each year, The Golden Globes awards show never fails to deliver comedy, drama and few wonderful surprises. This is list of nominees appears to set us up for another great night.

Maybe host Jimmy Fallon can even help some of the winners with their Thank You notes.

The Golden Globes air Sunday, January 8th, 2017 at 8pm on NBC.
