You know we live in a strange time when animals can become just as famous as musicians, actors, and athletes. These pups and felines have racked up millions of social media followers, movie roles, book deals, and more. Impressive, isn’t it? And while it may be sort of depressing to think that an animal can earn more money than you might make in your lifetime, when you check them out it will all make sense. Seriously. These faces are adorable. Here are some of the most famous animals of 2016:

Tuna the Chiweenie

Tuna and his overbite have earned a devout legion of fans on Instagram. Whether he’s traveling to do a book signing, dressing up in funny hats, or just cuddling in a bunch of blankets, people are pretty invested in Tuna’s adventures.

Toast Meets World

Toast is an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescued from a puppy mill. Part of her irresistible appeal is the fact that she has no teeth and is frequently captured with her tongue hanging out.

Few dogs can say that they have their own app, but JiffPom is one of them. With more than three million followers on Instagram, it’s safe to say that people are crazy for this adorable little guy.
