5 Things Better Than Valentine’s Day Chocolates
It takes little to no effort to go to a drugstore and pick up a box of chocolate for Valentine’s Day. Every corner store has the heart-shaped boxes, each chocolate inside usually containing a mystery filling that you can only identify once it’s too late. For some people this might be fun, but let’s face it, it’s kinda lazy, right?
This year, try to be a little more creative and check out 5 things better than chocolate:
1. Edible Arrangements
Picking up an edible arrangement is clearly going to take a little more preparation, but it will be well worth it. Ordering this treat in advance will show that you took some time to select some things your date actually prefers to eat and it doesn’t hurt that the presentation is amazing.

2. Teddy Bear
Not everybody likes stuffed animals, but everybody likes one from someone they are dating. A stuffed animal of any kind is a memento for when you’re not around, something to remind them you’re always thinking of them. Teddy bears come in all shapes, sizes and colors and you can get pretty creative with their outfits if you take the time. For an extra touch, let the animal hold the card that accompanies the fuzzy gift.
Even though we are far into the iTunes age, I still have the cd my middle school crush gifted me, proving that it means a lot. Certain songs bring an emotion that will never die, no matter how much time has passed. Make your date a playlist (especially appropriate for a night in) if your relationship lasts, those songs will bring happy memories forever.

4. Frozen Yogurt
If you already plan to go to dinner for Valentine Day, ditch the cliché box of chocolates and just stop at your favorite “fro-yo” place. First, it guarantees that your sweet treat actually gets eaten and it gives you a reason to spend a little more time together.
Girls love wine, or most of them anyway. You don’t need to be a wine connoisseur to pick out wine, so don’t worry. Pay attention to if your date prefers white or red and the employees at Total Wine can help you with the rest.
