Kelly Clarkson Shuts Down Fat-Shamer On Twitter
“You’re fat.” That’s what someone tweeted to pop singer Kelly Clarkson after she posted a tweet on the 4th of July expressing her gratitude for those who fought for our freedom and independence.

But that body-shaming comment didn’t phase the 35-year-old Grammy winner.
In fact, the self-assured star shut that down so fast! Her response…absolutely fearless!
....and still fucking awesome 😜 https://t.co/LvFgIITaTX

And now an enormous amount of her fans and followers have her back, slamming Cliff Cherokee for his offensive, mean-spirited comment.
I think you spelled that wrong! It's PHAT! Go Kelly!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Trolls love attention so they say awful things for no reason but to be awful.

Hey Kelly, you're a beautiful, talented, powerful, loving human. This guy is a nobody wanting to belittle you to make himself feel better.

This isn’t the first instance Kelly has been criticized for her weight. According to etonline.com, in 2015, British journalist and body image critic Katie Hopkins reportedly said, “Kelly Clarkson is now a chunky monkey if we’re putting it kindly. She does look like she’s eaten her backup singers. My advice: she needs to get out there with her stroller and do some pushing and get some of that weight off.”
While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, Hopkins definitely chose the wrong words. For a journalist, that doesn’t look too good on her.
But the good news, Kelly doesn’t let any of the bullying get her down. She simply responds and moves on. She’s confident in her talents and happy in who she’s become.
Our advice to females out there? Who cares what people think! Love yourself, take pride in who you are, and stand up for what you believe in! We suggest you do it Kelly Clarkson style! Who has time for negativity anyway?
