Lady Gaga had some stern words for Mike Pence and his wife during her performance at Park Theater in Las Vegas over the weekend, the A Star Is Born actress called the vice president the “worst representation of what it means to be Christian.”
Gaga’s assessment of the Pence’s comes after news of Karen Pence continuing to teach at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia, a school that bans LGBTQ students and any staff that supports them. Gaga, who considers herself Christian told the crowd “Christianity bears no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
Is the stage the proper place for artists to verbalize their political beliefs? Should their political views come out musically in a performance setting?
“I am a Christian woman,” @ladygaga said, “and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome." https://t.co/h3OziluwAI
