Police Dog Gets Contact High From Sniffing Drugs

A police dog is recovering after he overdosed on the job.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office’s golden retriever, Jake, had seizure-like symptoms after he sniffed a passenger with amphetamines and ecstasy on a Norwegian Epic cruise ship. Jake was given a dose of narcan to combat the effects. The passenger was charged with drug possession. A spokesperson for the police department said that Jake shouldn’t suffer any long term effects.
