Taylor Swift Covers Elle Magazine, Pens Essay on 30 Things She Learned Before 30
Taylor Swift is sharing some life wisdom with Elle magazine readers.
The Reputation singer, 29, is rumored to be gearing up to release her seventh album. Ahead of the release, she is on the cover of Elle magazine and sharing some life lessons she’s learned over the years.
While sharing those lessons, she also shares some pretty personal accounts of what her life has been like in the public eye.
“Trying and failing and trying again and failing again is normal,” she writes. “It may not feel normal to me because all of my trials and failures are blown out of proportion and turned into a spectator sport by tabloid takedown culture (you had to give me one moment of bitterness, come on).”
Swift also reveals that she is terrified of stalkers and worries about keeping her fans safe after the attack in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert in 2017. The singer also got candid about how cancer has affected her family, revealing that her mother’s cancer has returned and that she is now focusing her energy only on life’s “real problems.”
Among the other pieces of advice are to turn off social media comments, be like a “snake” and “only bite if someone steps on you,” and not to let outside opinions validate her life choices.
It certainly seems like Taylor has grown up quite a bit. Check out the full list at Elle magazine.
