According to Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, the idea of an LGBT superhero is “percolating” and other possible projects.

The rumor of Marvel having an openly gay male hero has been around for some time with Ikaris for The Eternals being the frontrunner when the film begins filming in September.

With the success of Captain Marvel, Victoria Alonso of Marvel said, “the world is ready.”
