Jussie Smollett returned to court on Thursday morning. He pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of disorderly conduct from filing a false police report for the alleged staged hate crime against him. Each of the 16 counts carries up to three years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
A grand jury indicted Smollett on the charges last week.
Smollett will be back in court on April 17th.
