Worst Box Office Easter Weekend in Over a Decade
The Curse of La Llorna was #1 this weekend at the box office with $26.5 million.
It is the latest horror movie to outperform expectations and prove that horror movies are very reliable as box office draws. Overall, this weekend was the worst Easter Weekend box office in 15 years. Combined sales of all movies this weekend made $112 million. The decline is likely due to next weekend’s main attraction, Avengers: Endgame. People may have been holding out to go to the movies next weekend. The rest of Hollywood also avoided opening anything big this weekend ahead of Avengers.
Did you go to the movies this weekend?
