Planning to travel over the holiday weekend? It’s going to cost you to keep the tank full. Gas prices have been steadily rising since the beginning of the year and have peaked earlier this month at $2.80 per gallon.
That’s higher than the average price in any of the last three years.
Analysts say increased demand and disruptions to oil refineries on the West Coast have contributed to higher prices.
They expect prices to drop as more of those refineries return to service.
