Three months after Apple removed the popular Google Maps from its operating system to replace it with its own mapping software, a Google Maps app has been added to the iTunes store. Apple Maps were widely panned in tech reviews and among customers, the fallout resulting in the dismissal of the top executive in charge of Apple's mobile operating system. Google Maps Will Now Tell You What Dish To Order At Restaurants Google Maps is already a great way to find restaurant recommendations. And pretty soon, the app will even tell you what to order.
This week, Google added a new ‘popular dishes’ feature, which uses ‘machine learning’ to figure out the best dishes at each restaurant based on customer reviews. Diners can even upload a photo of their favorite meal to help with recommendations.
The new feature was released for Android this week and will follow on IOS soon. Do you check online reviews when choosing a restaurant? Are you the type of customer who likes to leave online reviews?
Is Google going a little too far with this new feature?
