In fact, audiences loved the series so much that they've rated Chernobyl the highest scored television series in history with over a hundred thousand votes placed on IMDB. After the finale, votes for Chernobyl doubled to keep the show at the top of the list. Get the full story here
Critics and audiences may love HBO's series Chernobyl, but in Russia, Vladimir Putin doesn't like the series and has decided to make their own version of the 1986 disaster.
The Moscow Times reports that Putin's media is having a hard time dealing with the fact that an American channel is telling the story of Russia's heroes, and even though Russian outlets have criticized the series, Russian citizens loved it.
In the version to be done by a Russian network, the story will be based on a conspiracy theory that claims the CIA brought in an agent to sabotage Chernobyl.
