11-Year-Old Attacks Home Invader With Machete

An 11-year-old North Carolina boy managed to fight off an alleged home invader with a machete.

According to police, 11-year-old Braydon Smith was home alone with three people broke into the house and forced him into a closet.

He escaped, grabbed a machete off the wall, and hit one of the attackers in the head.

The alleged attacker, 19-year-old Jataveon Hall, fled the scene bleeding heavily.  However, he later escaped from a local hospital and is currently at large, along with the other two attackers.

Braydon, who is a star youth baseball player, told a local TV station "I knew I had to act in the heat of the moment".
