Should Southwest Florida Students Get Mental Health Days Off Of School?

There’s no question that school can sometimes be extremely stressful which can lead to a negative impact on a person’s mental health.

Well, a new bill just filed in Florida could allow kids to take a day off school each semester!

Kids deal with a lot of difficult issues at school including academics, bullying, active shooter drills and more on a daily basis.

If the bill passes they would leave it up to individual school districts to enforce the absences.

The bill might be discussed as early as January; when the next legislative session begins.
