911 supervisor played Netflix movie as caller sought help
911 Dispatcher Fired For Watching Netflix On The Job A 911 supervisor in Coral Springs, Florida is in hot water for watching Netflix instead of focusing on her job.
An investigation was launched after a woman called 911 to report a drive-by shooting that shattered her windshield.
Records show a 34-minute delay before an officer was dispatched to the incident.
Investigators say the dispatch supervisor, Julie Vidaud, was watching the Hilary Swank movie I Am Mother on Netflix at the time of the botched call.
While two dispatchers were fired for their role in the incident, Vidaud is facing only a two-day suspension – and has promised not to watch any more Netflix on company time.
Is Vidaud getting off easy here? Should she lose her job?
Be honest – do you ever watch Netflix or Youtube at work?
