The new year will bring slightly higher wages in the state of Florida.
Florida’s current minimum is $8.46, or $5.44 for employees who work on tips. If approved, wages will increase by ten cents an hour, to $8.56/$5.54.
Meanwhile, an amendment that will be on the upcoming November ballot, could increase minimum wage to $10 in 2021, and increase $1 per year until 2026 to $15 per hour.
