Richard Ellis Spurrier of St. Pete was arrested Saturday around 11pm after he was handing out weed to people as they passed by! '
When police asked him why he did it, he said “because it was Christmas.”
He has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Officers also say he had a hidden sword in his cane.
He has since been released from the Pinellas County Jail.
