How to make it:
INGREDIENTS
4 bell peppers, halved
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
16 oz. cremini mushrooms, sliced
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
16 slices provolone
Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
First, preheat the oven to 325º. Put the peppers in a large baking dish and bake them until they are cooked (30 minutes). While the peppers are cooking, in a skillet heat the oil. Add in onions, mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 6 minutes and add in the steak. Stir occasionally and then add in the Italian seasoning.
Second, add provolone cheese to the bottom of the pepper’s dish and top with the steak mixture. Place more provolone cheese on the top and broil until golden brown.
Third, garnish with parsley and then serve.
