Coronavirus in Southwest Florida: The latest info, helpful resources

Walt Disney World Resort is making changes to its annual pass holder membership policy during coronavirus closures.

Starting on April 5, 2020, Disney will automatically stop and waive all upcoming payments while the theme parks are closed, according to the website. Payments made between March 14 and April 4 will be refunded.

Payments will resume on regularly scheduled dates once the parks reopen and pass expiration dates will not be extended.

Those who paid their annual pass in full will have the choice to extend their pass for the number of days the parks have been closed or receive a partial refund for the theme park closure period.

Disney also said it will furlough many theme park employees starting April 19.
