The long held debate can end. Microsoft Word will now start showing it as an error if you put two spaces after a sentence.
The two space after a sentence rule dates back to the age of typewriters. With this change, Microsoft Word will show the little squiggly blue line underneath the two lines at the end of a sentence.
If you insist on using two spaces after a sentence, and don't want to see it marked as an error, you can change the setting in Word.
