With COVID cases still on the rise here in Florida, some cities are taking steps. Jacksonville will now require masks in Public starting at 5pm today.

Governor DeSantis has made it clear he does not want to issue a statewide ordinance making it mandatory to wear masks so the decision is left up to the individual cities. Many people are looking for clarification to this new rule.

Miami has made it very clear that fines will be imposed on those who don’t wear masks. So far, Southwest Florida cities have not enacted a similar mask rule, but as we’ve learned in 2020 – there’s no telling what’s gonna happen tomorrow.

UPDATE:  Sarasota is now doing the same.
