KFC birthday party in Melbourne costs $26,000 in Covid-19 fines after police track order
Partygoers Fined $18,000 After Ordering KFC A craving for KFC led to an $18,000 fine after Australian authorities busted an illegal birthday party. It started when two paramedics were grabbing takeout from a local KFC near Melbourne. When some customers rolled up with an “unusually large” order, they tipped off police that a large gathering – illegal during the pandemic – might be going on.
Officers arrived to find a house party with 16 people, many of whom were hiding in the backyard, in the garage, and even under beds. Each partygoer was fined $1,150 – making a total of $18,000 just for some fried chicken. What’s the best fast food for a birthday party?
