Taco Bell Just Went #CancelCulture On My Favorite- The Mexican Pizza
I’m not sure that’s exactly what cancel culture means, but I’m upset over here. I’m shook.
Taco Bell had already removed several items from their menu including the Nachos Supreme, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Spicy Tostada and the 7-Layer Burrito. The cheesy fiesta potatoes were pretty amazing, but now it’s like they made it personal.
The reason they gave for removing the best thing on their menu is that the packaging for the pizza accounted for more than 7 million pounds of paperboard each year in the U.S., so by taking the most amazing item they have ever made off the menu, it will help Taco Bell get closer to its sustainability goals.
Shredded chicken is also out, so menu items like the Shredded Chicken Soft Taco, Shredded Chicken Burrito and Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt are now gone.
They are adding a Chicken Chipotle Melt to the menu changes which go into effect this weekend – September 5th.
Here’s some pictures of people reacting to the news of the menu changes:
