Tory Lanez allegedly opened fire on Megan Thee Stallion because he was "too drunk," according to TMZ. According to the gossip site, the Houston rapper was still in the hospital bed when Lanez sent her a text message explaining his actions.

The publication claims that it saw the text message that Lanez sent Megan on the evening of July 12. About 15 hours after the rapper was shot in her feet, Lanez begged for forgiveness via text.

"I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart," Lanez allegedly texted Megan Thee Stallion. "I was just too drunk." Lanez never references "shooting" or a gun, in the text. However, it was clear that that artist regretted doing something."None the less s--- should have never happened and I can't change what did. I just feel horrible," Lanez allegedly continued. "Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk."As we previously reported, Megan called out Lanez, citing the artist as her shooter. The "WAP" rapper even shared photos of her injuries. Tory Lanez has not been arrested or charged in the shooting incident. According to TMZ, Megan never responded to Lanez's "sorry" text message.
