A student in Fort myers was sent home because teachers mistook her period symptoms for coronavirus ones. It is better to be safe than sorry but the girls mother feels like the school went overboard. Her daughter told teachers she was feeling tired and she was sent home. The district required her to either quarantine until October 23 or show proof that it wasn’t COVID-19. So, the next day her mother had to take her to a primary care for a doctors note which said the tiredness was related to her menstrual cycle. Her mother thinks that there should be a policy change, becasue she does not want to go through this every month.
