BB Gun From ‘A Christmas Story’ Movie Available for Purchase This Holiday Season

If you're a fan of the holiday movie "A Christmas Story," then you're in for a treat!

The Red Ryder BB gun, which played a big part in the classic movie and was the object of Ralphie’s Christmas-gift quest, will now be available for purchase, according to PennLive. 

Daisy Outdoor Products will produce an exact replica of the gun repeatedly described in the 1983 movie as an "official Red Ryder carbine-action, 200-shot, range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.”

The special edition gun will feature the traditional fancy Red Ryder logo engraving, a working compass, and a deep-set engraved sundial.

“For more than 80 years the Red Ryder has been tops on every youth’s Christmas Wishlist, and this special edition makes that dream come true,” the Arizona-based manufacturer said in a statement.
