The School District of Lee County made the decision to discontinue offering the Lee Home Connect learning model for the next school year, according to an announcement on their website.

Students who are currently enrolled in Lee Home Connect will automatically be transitioned back to face-to-face learning at the assigned brick and mortar school they attended prior to Lee Home Connect.

Parents interested in keeping their children enrolled in a virtual learning environment for the fall of 2021 must follow the Lee Virtual School enrollment process. The deadline to enroll is July 15, 2021.

The School District of Lee County said students currently enrolled in Lee Virtual School who signed up during the 2020-21 school year due to the pandemic, will automatically be transitioned back to face-to-face learning at their assigned brick and mortar school.

If parents would like their children to continue in Lee Virtual School for the fall of 2021, they must also enroll before July 15, 2021.

“While we continue to see improvements to public safety in relation to COVID-19, there is still uncertainty of where we will be by the start of the school year. Over the summer The School District of Lee County will continue to assess our health and safety processes and protocols with guidance from our healthcare partners,” said Superintendent Gregory K. Adkins, Ed.D.
