Woman Arrested After Refusing To Return $1.2 Million Accidentally Put Into Her Account
A former Louisiana sheriff’s dispatcher was just arrested because she refused to return more than $1.2 million that was accidentally deposited into her account. Instead of giving the money back she bought a new car and house and now she’s in even bigger trouble.
Kelyn Spadoni, 33, was excited when Charles Schwab accidentally deposited the hefty sum into her account but the back only meant to transfer about $82.
They tried calling and emailing her constantly but she just ignored everything. Instead she bought a 2021 Hyundai Genesis sport utility vehicle for $48,000 and even a house. She was arrested on charges of theft valued over $25,000, bank fraud and illegal transmission of monetary funds.
Finders keepers was the motto in this story. What millions of dollars are you talking about operator… that money has been in my account for as long as I can remember.
She thought eventually this entire situation was just going to go away. Yes it don’t work like that when the amount being discussed is a million dollars exact.
