Well this isn't something you hear about everyday. An Amazonian River Monster was found dead in Cape Coral and we are now finding out answers.

According to NBC 2, a Amazonian River Monster was found in Cape Coral in the Caloosahatchee in Jaycee Park a few months ago and now we are finally getting some answers to our many questions. The 5 foot 6 inch predatory monster fish from the Amazon River was found dead early this year. Well it turns out after their investigation they got an insight on an experimental program that was intending to breed "arapaima's," as a source of food. These large freshwater fish in South American can grow up to 10 feet and even weigh 200 pounds or more. These fish are facing extinction. The American Cobalt Fish Farm in Charlotte County had to deal with some problem guest and shortly after that situation was dealt with that's when the arapaima was found dead in the water in Cape Coral.

Just looking at this giant fish is pretty creepy! But at least we now know where the fish actually came from.
