Broward County Mayor Steve Geller has reviewed Governor Ron DeSantis’ order but is still urging businesses to keep wearing masks and maintaining distancing. As reported by Local 10, “Businesses still have their own rights as proprietors to require masks, should they chose to,” Geller said.
Broward county will continue to require masks in county government buildings. Publix, Walmart, Target and Home Depot have also responded to Governor DeSantis' order and have decided to continue with mask mandates inside their stores.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday morning that he will be suspending all remaining local emergency orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic effective immediately.
