During the defamation trial against her, Heard recalled a day where she said that Depp performed a cavity search on her, and that she had to take her dog to the vet after it stepped on a bee. The moment went viral on TikTok at the time, with many people, including *NSYNC's Lance Bass, mocking the actor’s noticeable wince as she mentioned her dog stepping on the bee.
On TikTok, the "You Right" singer explained how her puppy got stung by a bee saying, “It’s honestly hella sad ’cause like, she’s a puppy, my dog. And I’ve had her for like a week and a half, maybe two weeks now. And she like... was just running around in the grass... and she steps on a bee."
Doja then said, “So y'all know what time it is. Y’all know what f---ing time it is! You know what time it is!”
She then repeats the line, “My dog stepped on a bee, she stepped on a bee. My dog stepped on a f---ing bee!” squinting her eyes and jerking her head, mimicking Heard’s May testimony.
Folks on Twitter criticized the artist for mocking Heard, while others pointed out Doja Cat's recent controversy involving Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp. Doja, 28, called Noah, 17, a “weasel” after he shared a private message exchange they had on TikTok. Doja Cat had sent him a message via Instagram asking him to tell co-star Joseph Quinn, 29, to “hmu [hit me up]."
"She was just calling Noah Schnapp socially unaware for posting her dm’s and then she goes and does this," wrote one user.
“Doja Cat mocking Amber Heard isn't funny and it never was when yall did it months ago too,” one person wrote.
“The fact that she has one of the biggest platforms on tik tok and it’s being used to further mock and humiliate amber heard. @DojaCat educate yourself and delete,” wrote another.
Another fan wrote, "Is her PR team on vacation or something?"
One person contested the hate Doja was getting, writing, "I don’t understand how the whole internet can hate on amber but when doja mimics her it’s suddenly bad."
Another declared, "Wasn’t this a literal TikTok trend? And then Doja does it and it’s bad? Okay then everyone whose done it is bad too y’all need to keep the same energy if ur calling one person out. The whole case was a meme and that wasn’t okay to begin with."
Doja Cat may no longer be a fan of Stranger Things after Noah Schnapp decided to share their private DM conversation on social media.
The rapper was inquiring about Schnapp's costar Joseph Quinn's relationship status via DM which the actor posted in a now-deleted TikTok. “Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu [hit me up]. wait no. does he have a gf (girlfriend)?” Doja asked the actor.
“LMAOO slide into his dms,” Schnapp wrote back but the "Need To Know" singer couldn't find Quinn's account.
Following Schnapp's posting of their DMs, Doja went to Instagram Live Thursday (July 7) per CNN to express how frustrated she felt that the Stranger Things actor posted their private conversation calling the move “socially unaware and wack.”
“I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing,” she said.
The rapper then chalked it up to the actor being young since he is 17 and she's 26.
“When you’re that young, you make mistakes,” she said. Schnapp has not publicly responded to Doja's recent remarks.
