Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato attend The 58th GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on February 15, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

Demi Lovato is apparently shading her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama in her new song “29,” according to her fans online who have circulated snippets of the yet-to-be-released song.

The song, which is part of her upcoming Holy Fvck album, begins with the lines “Petal on the vine / Too young to drink wine / Just five years of bleeders / Student and a teacher / Far from innocent, what the f—‘s consent? / Numbers told you not to, but that didn’t stop you.”

The singer, who is 29, met the That 70s Show star when she was 17 and he was 29. The couple dated for six years from 2010-2016. In her 2017 documentary Simply Complicated, Lovato said, “When I first met Wilmer he was 29. I met him on January 11th of 2010, and it was at a PSA shoot at his house for the 2010 census forms.” She added that the only reason she agreed to do the PSA was because she heard it was at his house and thought he was “really cute.”

“I didn’t really care about the census forms, but when I met him and I laid eyes on him for the first time, I was in hair and makeup and he came in and sat down and I was like ‘I love this man’ and ‘I have to have him.’ But I was only 17, so he was like, ‘Get away from me,'” she said, while making a cross with her fingers.” After I turned 18, we began dating. I think it was love at first sight and I don’t really believe in that, but I believe that it happened.”

The song’s chorus continues: “Finally 29 / Funny, just like you were you at the time / Thought it was a teenage dream, just a fantasy / But was it yours or was it mine? / 17, 29.”

A TikTok by @demi_artistry went viral with the leaked song, showing photos of the former couple, with fans leaving their thoughts on Demi’s lyrics.

“It takes people awhile to accept traumatic events,” one commenter wrote while another said “Oh this is gonna hit my childhood trauma.”

A third wrote, “YES. It’s about time these men be CALLED OUT.”

Even more fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Valderrama.

After the Encanto voice actor, 42, announced his engagement to model Amanda Pacheco in 2020, Lovato wished her ex the best, telling Harper’s Bazaar, “I’m really happy for him and I wish him nothing but the best, but we’re not in each other’s lives, haven’t spoken in a long time. But I think I needed that because I needed to learn to be OK on my own. When you get into a relationship with somebody at that young of an age and then you spend six years with somebody, you don’t really get to learn about yourself.”

Valderrama is still engaged to Pacheco, 30 and they share baby daughter Nakano together. Lovato was briefly engaged to actor Max Ehrich, 31, in 2020.

Demi Lovato's ‘HOLY FVCK’ Pop Punk Album and Tour Hits This Summer

Demi Lovato fans are in for a treat, getting another new album this year and a tour to go with it! Lovato, 29, is coming out with their first-ever pop-punk album, titled HOLY FVCK, which arrives later this summer.

The album marks the first release since last year's Dancing With The Devil, and Lovato says it’s been their most fulfilling album experience yet. “The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet and I’m grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me. Never have I been more sure of myself and my music and this record speaks that for itself,” Lovato said in a statement. “To my Lovatics who have been rocking out with me since the beginning and those who are just now coming along for the ride, thank you. This record is for you.”

In an usual rollout, the album will be released after the tour starts (the tour kicks off August 13, while HOLY FVCK is slated to drop on August 19). Demi’s first single, “Skin of My Teeth,” drops this Friday, June 10, and they’ll perform it live on The Tonight Show on Thursday.
