Diner Karen Wants to Speak with Management
Diner Karen Wants to Speak with Management.
I enjoy life in a mysterious way. I never want to come across something like this in the wild. Also, I really don’t want to physically be involved in it or be anywhere near it, But I secretly can’t get enough of it. I’m talking about Karens. Something that shrieking noise they make in videos is music to my ears. I know in reality, It’s very terrifying. But I crave it. They say that only a monster would have such a short, ragged hairstyle. But I can’t see it enough. It’s funny to me. On tape. However, the awful reality of a Karen isn’t something to experience firsthand.
To be forced to see Karen in person while listening to her never-ending rant would be the worst possible situation. What if you were Karen’s husband, kid, or—even scarier—Karen herself? That would be a situation that could only get worse. Why on earth would you ever want to experience that in reality? There is no doubt that you wouldn’t want to serve or even have a visit from Karen if you were the owner or waitress of a place like a restaurant. But wait if it WAS Karen’s place? Could you eat there?
There’s a place for that. As a parody of the whole “Angry Karen” affair, Karen’s Diner opened in Australia last October. There are currently 16 sites, one of which is in St. Louis.
Great Burgers and Very Rude Service is their motto. Basically, they treat customers poorly. And they don’t give a damn if you complain.
I guess the customers took Karens a little too seriously. They are once again making headlines as a result of staff discontent at a Melbourne branch, which prompted them to request a meeting with management. How Karen of them!
Six present and former employees complained about the harmful working conditions. They claim that patrons regularly abuse the servers by threatening them and acting violently. However, no one took any action after they informed management. A bunch of Karens asked to speak with the managers. I can’t believe it.
