Comedian Gallagher Dead At 76
TMZ is reporting that Gallagher has passed away at the age of 76. He is most widely know for smashing watermelons during his shows, with his famous Sledge-O-Matic.
Gallagher died while under hospice care in the Palm Springs area early Friday morning, TMZ reported. His manager told TMZ Gallagher died of massive organ failure. He had been in ill health for a while, suffering numerous heart attacks over the years.
He hadn’t been in the public eye in nearly a decade. The last time he came around was back in 2014.
He is survived by his two children, daughter, Aimee and son, Barnaby.
