Back by popular demand, Firehouse Subs has launched its Name of the Day promotion – and today (December 6, 2022), anyone named Michael, Angela and Aisha will receive a free medium sub with any purchase*.

Well, this is super fun!  I will for sure be checking for my name.  And I know I will tell anyone I know that they’re name is the name of the day.  Love this idea.

Sandwich fans with the appropriate first name can show their photo ID to redeem the offer daily starting today, Tuesday, December 6 through Thursday, December 15. New names will be posted every morning at FirehouseSubs.com/NameoftheDay.  They’ll also be on the Firehouse Subs Facebook and Twitter pages.

When you think Florida, you think Mickey Mouse, the beach, sunshine and maybe oranges.  You’re certainly not thinking of chicken wings.  Sure, there are some great places to grab a bucket of wings with a beer during a game, don’t get me wrong.

But, where can you find Florida’s best chicken wings?

The folks over at EatThis.com did a study to determine the best chicken wings in each state.  So, which wings reign supreme here in Florida?  A place in St. Pete called Dr. BBQ.

While it’s not right here in Southwest Florida, it’s not too far.

Here’s what EatThis.com had to say about Dr. BBQ

Ray “Dr. BBQ” Lampe, pitmaster at the namesake restaurant, has won plenty of awards for his ‘que as an American Royal Hall of Fame pitmaster. What makes the Dr. BBQ wings super special is the dual cooking process: The wings are smoked to get that classic ‘que flavor and then grilled to slowly render the fat from the meat.

So, where are the best places to find chicken wings across the United States?  We decided to share some other locations with you, since most people in Florida, aren’t from Florida.
