South Florida Drivers Have Major Road Rage, According To Twitter
This probably won’t come as a shock to most of us down here in the Sunshine State. Our traffic here is insane and more and more people are coming here in droves day after day.
With all these new people on the roads, and the ones who are only here half the year (snowbirds), it’s no wonder we have road rage. For those of us that are Florida OG’s it gets super frustrating when a 20 minute drive turns into an hour. Which happens daily here in Southwest Florida.
So, the folks over at Get Circuit wanted to know where the drivers with the most road rage come from. With tempers running hot on the road lately, they took to Twitter (and surveyed 1,000 drivers) to find where the angriest motorists are.
And well, what they found out is that South Florida drivers have major road rage.
- Orlando, Florida, is the No.3 city for road rage in the US, with 273 #roadrage tweets per every 100,000 people
- Miami, Florida, is the No.5 city for road rage in the US, with 178 #roadrage tweets per every 100,000 people
- Tampa, Florida, is the No.9 city for road rage in the US, with 141 #roadrage tweets per every 100,000 people
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the No.19 city for road rage in the US, with 102 #roadrage tweets per every 100,000 people
Additionally, the study found that the No. 1 city for road rage is Eugene, OR. I wouldn’t have guessed that if I had one million guesses.
And rounding out the top 10 were Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Birmingham, Nashville, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Boston.
