Clam Pass and Boardwalk Reopening Just In Time For Christmas
Clam Pass Reopening In Collier County
This year Santa is celebrating another important milestone for Collier County with the reopening of Clam Pass to both residents and visitors.
Trading snowbanks for miles of white sand beach, Santa was able to enjoy some welcomed rest and relaxation prior to the “big day”. Although not his normal sleigh, he felt right at home on the trolley ride before making his way down to a sun-drenched spot on the beach to grab a few rays and toss around his beach ball. The beloved boardwalk will officially open Friday, December 23, just in time for the holidays.
“The reopening of Clam Pass and it’s famed boardwalk is a great occasion for our beautiful destination,” said Paul Beirnes. “As an icon for the community, both residents and visitors will once again be able to enjoy the trolley ride through the mangroves and enjoy a sun-filled day at one of our most popular beaches.”
According to a press release, as part of the reopening, Naples Grande Beach Resort will also celebrate the return of a guest favorite, the Naples Grande boardwalk tram service, transporting guests directly from the resort to the beach. Offering cabanas, chairs, umbrellas, and beach games, the resort will welcome back guests to the quintessential Naples Grande beach experience, along with the reopening of resort’s Rhode’s End Beach Bar.
As a central beach access point in Naples,, the half-mile stroll along the Clam Pass boardwalk offers an opportunity to view marine life, coastal birds and butterflies on the way to the beach.
