I wish I could win the lottery Imagine what you could do with a few million dollars. You could travel the world, buy a new house, or retire early. For most of us, though, winning the lottery is nothing more than a pipe dream. Still, that doesn’t stop us from buying a ticket every now and then in the hopes of striking it rich. And who can blame us? With jackpots sometimes reaching into the hundreds of millions of dollars, it’s tempting to think that just maybe, this could be our lucky day. A lucky woman from Santa Rosa County just became $1 million richer after scoring a winning Florida Lottery ticket at Publix Supermarket! According to WFLA, Laura Purdy, 62 of Gulf Breeze, claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee last Friday. Not only that – she also earned the retailer an amazing $2K commission for selling her ticket! Although not quite hitting it big with the game’s massive top-prize of up to 25 MILLION dollars (with odds being 1:21M!), we’d say this still counts as one happy and life changing moment for Ms. Purdy indeed!

It’s January and the Mega Millions jackpot has now surpassed a billion dollars. Clearly, there’s two different ways to play the numbers. You can let the computer pick for you, or you can get that card and pick them yourself. If you’re the latter, what system do you choose? Kids birthdays, anniversaries, and dates like that are common. I use math. Before we continue, in full disclosure, I’ve picked numbers using this system and have not won anything. I only play when the jackpot gets big and using this system I got nothing right on the 7/26/2022 drawing. But what if?

Here are the 10 Most Drawn numbers and Mega Balls Based on 541 drawings since Tuesday, October 31, 2017 as of this data on January 4th, 2022. So when I say a number has come up “46 times”, it means since 10/31/2017.

We’ll also look at which Mega Ball pops up the most. Gotta get both right if you’re going to win that money. I’m not saying these will be the numbers that will make you win. Just saying, these numbers tend to come up more. #science

Mega Balls 7 and 8 are at the bottom of their appearance list at 16. That’s half as many times as MB22. But get this. MB8 showed up on December 23rd, and MB7 on December 30th.
