Feeling lucky? The next Mega Millions drawing is this Friday the 13th. And it’s a biggie. One billion three hundred fifty million. 16 people got 5 numbers right but missed the gold Mega Ball, including 2 winners here in Florida. Check your tickets.

The numbers for the January 10th,2023 drawing were 7, 13, 14, 15, and 18. The Mega Ball was 9.

Two people in Florida are now millionaires. One scored a milly, the person who chose Megaplier gets 3 million.

So it grows. According to the Ohio Lottery, ” a gigantic prize of $1.35 billion ($707.9 million cash) is estimated for Friday, January 13. If won at that amount, it would be the second largest jackpot in Mega Millions history!”

This Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since October 14th, when someone in Fort Myers Florida shared the 502 million jackpot with someone in California. I remember that drawing because it was just a couple of weeks after Hurricane Ian. They bought the ticket at a 7-11. We don’t yet know the name of the person in Fort Myers who won. The lottery releases the name of the winner 90 days after they claim their prize which they did, about 2 months ago.

In addition, what about drawings on Friday the 13th? The lottery keeps stats on that, too. “Michigan has been particularly lucky with Mega Millions jackpots on Friday the 13th, winning four of them (June 2008, May 2011, June 2014 and October 2017). That 2017 jackpot was shared with a winner in Rhode Island. Other jackpots on Friday the 13th have been won in New York (March 2009) and Ohio (November 2015). None of them, however, came close in size to the estimated $1.35 billion up for grabs later this week.”

It’s January and the Mega Millions jackpot has now surpassed a billion dollars. Clearly, there’s two different ways to play the numbers. You can let the computer pick for you, or you can get that card and pick them yourself. If you’re the latter, what system do you choose? Kids birthdays, anniversaries, and dates like that are common. I use math. Before we continue, in full disclosure, I’ve picked numbers using this system and have not won anything. I only play when the jackpot gets big and using this system I got nothing right on the 7/26/2022 drawing. But what if?

Here are the 10 Most Drawn numbers and Mega Balls Based on 541 drawings since Tuesday, October 31, 2017 as of this data on January 4th, 2022. So when I say a number has come up “46 times”, it means since 10/31/2017.

We’ll also look at which Mega Ball pops up the most. Gotta get both right if you’re going to win that money. I’m not saying these will be the numbers that will make you win. Just saying, these numbers tend to come up more. #science

Statistically, the number 51. It’s only shown up 25 times in the date range, although it did show up 5 times since July 5th, 2022. Lastly on December 30th.

Mega Balls 7 and 8 are at the bottom of their appearance list at 16. That’s half as many times as MB22. But get this. MB8 showed up on December 23rd, and MB7 on December 30th.
