Lance Bass is enjoying watching his children grow. "Since two months old, we knew their personalities, and they've just gotten more exaggerated," Bass told People about 15-month-old twins Alexander James and Violet Betty over the weekend. He and his husband Michael Turchin welcomed the babies on October 13, 2021 via surrogate.

Of his daughter Violet, Bass, 43, adds, "You know, she's our bookworm, she loves to read and just be chill," while her brother Alexander "just wants all the attention and just wants to get in trouble all the time."

The NSYNC alum also opened up about the key parenting lessons he's learned since their children were born. "I've learned patience," he shares to the publication. "I mean if you don't have patience, it's a lot, because it can get very overwhelming. And I am not a patient person. But you know, they've definitely taught me a lot."

Both Bass and Turchin, 36, have come to realize that teamwork is key. "You just got to step up when you need to step up," Turchin says on the importance of splitting daily parenting tasks. "We just take turns all the time, we let each other take naps, very important." Bass added, "We just go and somehow it just naturally happens."

As for whether the couple is hoping to add to their family, the singer revealed that although he's "definitely open" to the idea, it's not something they are quite ready for. "It's a little too soon right now," Bass admitted, while Turchin added, "I'm more reluctant at the moment, but we'll see. You know, we still have time."

As we've previously reported, Bass called it “quite the journey” as he opened up about years of surrogacy attempts, failed IVF treatments and a miscarriage. Turchin previously said, “We went through nine different egg donors, which is rare. We got all the way down the path of about to retrieve their eggs. Some just wouldn’t produce enough eggs, some weren’t good genetic matches. If you’re going to be a match, you don’t want to even risk it.”
