Today is Valentine’s Day and while for some it’s a celebration of love, at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa you can celebrate a split by naming a cockroach for your ex.
I’m sure we’ve all been there. The relationship is all roses, until it’s not. While breakups are never fun, sometimes it can go from bad to worse if you’re stuck picking up the pieces and cleaning up the mess your ex has made. Just the thought of a few of my ex’s makes my skin crawl.
If you have an ex has officially rained on your parade, what better than naming a cockroach after them? Today is the final day at The Florida Aquarium that you can name a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach after your ex or someone else who has put a damper on your life. Maybe you have some words for said ex, send em in! They won’t “Hiss and Tell”, but you may just see those choice words on social media. For a donation of $10, not only will you receive a commemorative certificate, but also a photo of the roach.
The Florida Aquarium also has fun digital Valentine’s Day cards with sayings like “I knew you were trouble when you crawled in”. I’m sure Taylor Swift would appreciate that one!
