Spring Training Baseball Traffic Will Soon Hit South Fort Myers
Spring Training Baseball Traffic Will Soon Hit South Fort Myers
If you live here in Southwest Florida, you’re all too familiar with the absoulutey insane traffic nowadays.
This is especially true for those that use the Daniels corridor on their daily commutes.
With all the growth happening in that area, mixed with construction and the snowbirds here this time of year, the last thing needed is another reason to attract drivers to that area.
Well, for two days in March, it’s happening. The traffic is going to get worse. Why? Spring Training Traffic. The Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins both have home games at the same time. This is going to make traffic a nightmare and the area between the two stadiums should be avoided at all costs. At least it’s only happening twice.
The two days you’ll want to plan a new route are Sunday, March 5th and Friday, March 17th.
On Sunday, March 5th, The Boston Red Sox host the Miami Marlins at JetBlue Stadium. The Minnesota Twins host the Detroit Tigers at Hammond Stadium. Both games start at 1:05 p.m. Peak traffic is anticipated between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and then again between 3:45 and 4:30 p.m.
On Friday, March 17th, The Minnesota Twins host the Baltimore Orioles at Hammond Stadium. The Boston Red Sox will host the Atlanta Braves at JetBlue Stadium. Both games starting at 1:05 p.m.
