It’s inevitable that you’re going to get hungry on a road trip, especially when going from state to state.  Sure, buying snacks for your trip is one of the best parts, but sometimes you need to stop and have a meal when the snacks just aren’t cutting it.

Typically, you might pull over for a quick run through a drive thru for a greasy burger and fries, but other times you might want to get out of the car, stretch, and relax while you enjoy a little break with some decent food.

Seriously, some of the best chicken fingers I have ever had came from the rest stop on Alligator Alley.  And anyone who’s seen “Diners Drive-Ins & Dives” knows Guy Fieri has made his fair share of stops at roadside restaurants across the country.

Lucky for us here in the Sunshine State, one of the best roadside restaurants in the US is right here in Florida, according to Cheapism.  And not too many of the others are far off the beaten path if we’re making a road trip up north.

The best roadside restaurant in Florida is in Deerfield Beach, at The Whale’s Rib, a seafood restaurant serving up huge portions big enough to share.

There are so many options when it comes to dining out here in Fort Myers.  No matter what it is you might have a hankering for, you’ll find it in Southwest Florida.  We’re a foodies dream, in a smaller town.  What more could we ask for?

So, with the year winding down (so crazy it’s almost over already), we wanted to know, where are the best places in Fort Myers for a delicious meal?

Since we aren’t experts in the food game, we took to the crew over at Yelp for help with the list, based on user reviews.

From seafood, to breakfast to a great steak or exotic cuisine or maybe a quick burrito or bowl, we’ve got it all covered in the list below, of  the best restaurants in Fort Myers of 2022.  There are plenty of options for a romantic date night, a fun family night out or a quick meal alone.

So, now that all of our mouths are watering and we are dying to know where we should go for dinner tonight, we’ll get to the list.
