Florida Rapper Shares Video Of Her Being Extorted By The Mexican Cartel
I love Kamillion and glad she is safe. If you’re not familiar with her, she is a rapper and actress from Jacksonville. She stars in the hit television show Rap Sh*t on HBO and has songs loved by many Floridians. Yesterday she uploaded a video where she claims she was extorted by the Mexican police. She also claims those police have ties to the Mexican cartel. Below is the message and video she uploaded to instagram:
“This is footage of me and my crew in Mexico . The cartel pulled us over saw money in our bags and tried to collect money or they said they were taking us away . They took 1500 from the stylist and asked where’s the rest . I hid mine but they kept asking for more . Scary stuff. Seeing the tragedies unfold in the media when I came back of people being killed I feel so blessed. I’m never goin to Mexico again . Literally my worst trip ever . Police Cartel is different shi crazy. I was told They are associated with the cartel and kidnap tourist and extort money”

There are lots of outdoor activities in Southwest Florida this weekend as you will see when you scroll down. However, baseball Spring Training is still one of the highlights. There are three teams in Lee and Charlotte Counties with lots of games being played. In Fort Myers you can see the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. In Port Charlotte it is the Tampa Bay Rays. What else is happing this weekend
In addition to baseball, there is a taco festival, art shows, St Patrick’s Day parades and perhaps the most notable, the Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Festival. Hurricane Ian’s devastation, has made it nearly impossible to put on the annual event on in its usual fashion. Taco Fest
If you like tacos, you will love this festival. It’s Sunday from 11am-5pm downtown Fort Myers at the Caloosa Sound Amphitheater. Sample tacos from numerous chefs, vote for your favorite, and enjoy live music. Admission is $10.
Naples Art Crafters Art Show
Find work from more than 50 local artists here. The show has been moved to Coastland Center Mall this time. It’s Saturday from 10am-4pm and it’s free for the family.
Naples St. Patrick's Day Parade
This year’s annual event features legendary college football coach Lou Holtz as parade grand marshal is always well attended. Events begin with a flag raising at Crayton Cove at 9:30 and parade step off at 11am. It winds down 3rd Street and 5th Avenue, ending in front of city hall. There will be some street closers so keep that in mind if you are traveling in the area.
