New Survey Reveals How Florida Residents Order At The Bar
If you’re visiting Fort Myers, Naples, or anywhere else in Florida. This is for you. How to fit in at the bar and not look like a tourist. First of all, it’s only 74 degrees today. If you show up in a brand new “Salt Life” t shirt, shorts, and flip flops, well – you’re making it obvious. I’m in a fleece pullover and jeans. The weather is warming up over the weekend so we’ll all be in a t shirt and shorts so it’s time to move on to the next step. What drink to order.
A new report by the team at Upgraded Points surveyed over 2.2k American drinkers across the country on their bar ordering habits. Here’s what Florida residents order:
- Our favorite bar drink type overall is a Beer.
- For classic cocktails, Florida bar-goers prefer to order a Mojito!
- When ordering a beer, Florida residents prefer to order a Bud Light at the bar.
- Different states favored different types of bars — in Florida it was a Sports bar.
- When it comes to tipping, the largest share of respondents in Florida usually tip their bartenders 15%.
- Florida drinkers are willing to pay $13.38 on average for their favorite premium cocktail.
So the standard is a Bud Light sitting in a sports bar. A Corona and lime is also perfectly acceptable, especially if you’re seated out doors. And take that Mojito on the rocks. Most people think Patron tequila is the way to go but if you want to impress the bartender, order it with Don Julio. It’s all I drink.
What about the other states What do they order at the bar?
Well, Upgraded Points sent over this chart:
So hopefully this helps you fit in. Enjoy your Florida stay and remember to drive around town for no reason especially between 5p and 6pm. Preferably anywhere around Daniels in Fort Myers. We love sitting in traffic.
