Beyoncé and Adidas Have Reportedly Parted Ways
Beyoncé and Adidas announced that they have ended their collaborative partnership in relation to the singer’s Ivy Park activewear line. According to the Hollywood Reporter, sources told the outlet that the two powerhouses have mutually agreed to part ways.
There were allegedly “major creative differences” between Beyoncé and Adidas. The Renaissance creator, however, is looking forward to “reclaim her brand, chart her own path and maintain creative freedom.”
Beyoncé unveiled her brand in 2016 after partnering with TopShop. Their deal ended in 2018 when she gained full ownership of Ivy Park. She began working with Adidas in 2018 where she relaunched the brand as they also ventured into footwear and more apparel.
In January, Beyoncé launched Park Trail which is the latest Ivy Park collection to date. It presumably is her last collaboration with the German sportswear brand.
Although it might be the end of Ivy Park for now, Beyoncé fans will be able to see the superstar as she kicks off her global Renaissance tour in May. The tour will begin in Europe before she hits North America in July. The North American leg of the tour begins July 8 with back-to-back shows in Toronto’s Rogers Centre. The tour will eventually make stops in several major cities in the United States including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Nashville, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas, and ending in New Orleans on September 27.
The Renaissance tour marks Beyoncé’s first tour in five years. Her last tour was the On the Run II tour with Jay-Z for their joint album Everything Is Love.
