Pot Luck in Palm Beach: Lucky Beachgoer Finds 30 Pounds of Marijuana
Pot Luck in Palm Beach: Lucky Beachgoer Finds 30 Pounds of Marijuana.
Ah, Florida. The land of sunshine, alligators, and apparently, bundles of drugs washing up on the beach. Over the weekend, a lucky beachgoer stumbled upon a package of marijuana that had washed ashore in Palm Beach. And no, we’re not talking about a tiny dime bag here. This was a bale of marijuana, weighing in at a whopping 30 pounds.
According to WFLA, The U.S. Border Patrol was promptly notified, and Chief Patrol Agent Walter Slosar must have been thrilled to receive the call. “Thank goodness for Good Samaritans,” he probably said, before rushing to the scene to seize the illegal package.
But wait, it gets better. This isn’t even the first time this year that unsuspecting civilians have stumbled upon massive amounts of drugs in Florida. Back in January, two people found a total of 145 pounds of cocaine in the Lower Keys. That’s enough coke to keep Scarface’s party going for a week straight.
Palm Beach Marijuana:
Now, I know what you’re thinking. How do I get in on this beachcombing action? But before you start scouring the shores with a metal detector, let’s remember that these are illegal substances we’re talking about here. And while it may seem like a hilarious stroke of luck to find a giant bale of weed on the beach, getting caught with it could lead to some serious consequences.
So, let’s leave the drug smuggling to the professionals, and stick to more wholesome beach activities like building sandcastles and sipping on a cold drink. And who knows, maybe you’ll still stumble upon something amazing, like a message in a bottle or a lost treasure. Just don’t go bragging about it to the U.S. Border Patrol.
List of Top 50 Party Schools in U.S.
Consider this a public service announcement for all of the seniors in high-school. Our friends over at niche.com have published a list of the top 50 party schools in the US. Among the 50 biggest party schools are four schools in the state of Florida. Including one school cracking the top-3. Alumni of these schools will most likely wear this as a badge of honor. Obviously I would not choose a school based solely on the party atmosphere. But if you’re looking for that party atmosphere, or maybe not, then this list can help sway your decision in one way or the other. I’m not entirely sure how niche.com came up with the list, but if you click the link you can see most schools have well over 3,000 reviews left by current and former students.
There are a few schools that didn’t make the list that seemed odd to me. UCF in Orlando, Arizona State in Tempe, and East Carolina in Greenville just to name a few. The first two seem to be because they are in larger metro areas and maybe the actual college party scene isn’t as great as the overall party scene. However I have been to Greenville and know the Pirates know how to Party. I’ve taken the niche.com list and added a new component; PICTURES. Some of these school’s party scenes are directly tied to the great athletics the schools offer. Others let the partying stand on their own. So with out further adieu, I present the top 50 party schools in the country.
