Disney World is expensive. it’s very easy to throw down thousands of dollars on a multi-day trip. And making that trip from Southwest Florida means you usually need to add in a hotel. That’s why we’re always on the lookout for sales. And we just found this Disney World Florida Resident ticket sale. The Florida Resident Disney Summer Magic Ticket starts tomorrow, May 16th, with deep discounts on multi day tickets we haven’t seen in awhile. According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Choose from a 4-day ticket for $58 per day plus tax ($229 total plus tax) or a 3-day ticket for $70 per day plus tax ($209 total plus tax)”.
Here’s the catch. There’s always a catch. The Disney World Florida Resident tickets are good May 16 through September 29, 2023. Blackout dates include Memorial Day weekend, the weekend leading into July 4th, and the Labor Day weekend. These are NOT park hopper tickets. It’s one park per day. I’ve always found that traveling between parks is a bit time consuming this is not a bad thing. It does mention that you can spread out those days and maybe 2 shorter trips rather than one long one may be the way. All the details and booking info is on the Disney World website.
Your sale can get you tickets at $99 a day over 4 days. Still a solid deal for vacationers coming down on a summer vacation. Don’t forget to make reservations and spend some time on You Tube to understand how the whole Disney “system” works. If you just show up at Disney without doing research, you’re not going to have a good time. And if one or more of your family members aren’t really into Disney, there’s a park just down the road in Orlando that lets you drive tanks and run over cars.
There's An Orlando Theme Park Where You Drive A Tank And Smash Cars
It’s just over a 3 hour drive from Fort Myers, Florida to Orlando to hit up the theme parks. I’ve been to Disney, Universal, and Sea World many times. But there’s another theme park in Orlando that’s a bit different from the others. It’s Tank America. And yes, you can drive an actual tank and run stuff over. Florida Man is gonna love this one.
Tank America is actually close to the other theme parks like Disney and Universal. It’s about 20 minutes from Universal. And yes, those are real tanks. “Tank America is one of the only places in the country you can get behind the wheel of a real tank outside of the Army or Marine Corps,” said Tank America partner John Kinney. “If you’re looking for a thrilling experience outside of the theme parks, it doesn’t get more thrilling than Tank America.”
“Tank America is the only amusement park in Florida offering the once in a lifetime opportunity to drive a REAL MILITARY TANK. Come feel 17 tons of awesome power as you navigate through our ½ mile tank course from the driver’s seat of our FV 433 tanks. You will experience pure excitement as you drive the tank over obstacles, barrel through a four-foot-deep mud hole, and even drive over and CRUSH A CAR.”
I’ve seen the pictures and I’m wondering how people can drive a tank and keep a straight face.
You put me in a tank and tell me to start running stuff over and you couldn’t stop me from giggling. So how much? Looks like the packages start at about $300. They go up over a grand based on how much you want to do. Smashing more cars and firing machine guns are some of the extras. Yeah, they got machine guns, too. The website breaks it all down so there’s no surprises.
This Florida Man approves.
