This City Has The Biggest Homicide Rate Problem In Florida

I'm shocked by this research done by Wallet Hub. I would have never thought that this particular city had the highest homicide rate problem in Florida. I say that because I live in the city I am speaking of. So far, I feel safe here and have never had to call the local police department. Before moving here, I lived in Fort Myers!

While the Florida cities on this list did not rank the highest out of 45 states , two of these cities are on here. In order to determine which cities had the highest homicide rate problems they compared 45 of the largest U.S cities based on homicides per capita in 2023. List also includes homicides per capita in q1 of 2022 and 2021 as well.

Below are the two cities that have the biggest homicide rate problems in Florida. Memphis currently has the highest homicide rate problem in the United States. The two cities below did not rank the highest but they are the only two Florida cities that made the list out of 45 other cities.

St. Petersburg

I live in St. Pete and it’s very disheartening to see this city on the list. While we don’t have the highest homicide rate in the United States, we have the highest in Florida. Out of 45 cities, St.Pete ranks 25 on the list. So far in 2023 there have been 3.87 homicides per capita. St. Petersburg has the biggest homicide rate problem in Florida in 2023.

Jacksonville

I love Jacksonville! It reminds me of the city I grew up in. I grew up in Detroit and Jacksonville gives me those vibes. In a good and bad way. Jacksonville comes in at number 27 on the list. So far in 2023 they have 2.67 homicides per capita.

Ranking The Sarasota Publix Stores From First To Worst

It's not hard to find a Sarasota Publix. It seems like you're never more than a few minutes away from a store. From the Publix on Longboat Key, to all the stores on Bee Ridge. But there's one thing we Publix shoppers all have in common. We all have a favorite.

Why is that? It's a grocery store chain, shouldn't all the stores be essentially the same? That would make sense, but we know it's not true. I'm a huge fan of the Chicken Tender Pub Sub. But I know the spot I want to go to get it. Would another store make it as good? Maybe not, I'm not risking it. And maybe you're the type that doesn't go to your closest Publix because you prefer the fancy one with the cart escalator. People do have opinions on this.

Like, why is the Publix on Tamiami and 10th Street in Sarasota ranked so much lower than the one down the street at Bay Street and 41. Is it because of the Taco Bell next door?

For whatever reason, Sarasota, Florida residents have a favorite Publix. So let's rank 'em. All 17 of them. Let the people's voice be heard! We used Google reviews to rank the stores. When stores have the same rating, the one with the most ratings is on top. If a LOT of people are going on google to rank a grocery store, they must be doing something right.
